Any thoughts on critical capture?

I like it.  It’s the closest thing the game has to a way for trainers to gain experience, rather than just their Pokémon, reflects the greater willingness of a Pokémon to join a powerful and experienced trainer, and encourages catching lots of Pokémon to fill the Pokédex, which is notionally the whole point.  It’s good stuff.
