I don’t actually own either of those consoles. I played Final Fantasy VII on my computer when it was released on Steam recently. Maybe if someone can recommend a good emulator and I have time I’ll take a look, but I certainly couldn’t promise a review; I have quite enough to do this year what with all the sixth-generation Pokémon to look at.

I absolutely loved your epilogue, it’s actually too bad this cannot continue but if Z is a sequel, could u perhaps…if it’s not too much…tie in this into the next write up? It feels like a story haha.
Well, bear in mind that I have no idea what’s going to happen in Z (or whatever other fake-out they might throw at us)… bear in mind also that even the way I’ve been reading the events of X for the purposes of my epilogue is a little bit contentious – Lysandre’s dialogue on Y doesn’t bring up the possibility of using the Ultimate Weapon to become immortal, so I strongly doubt that’s ‘canon.’ He could easily be dead, and it may well be logically impossible (even if I do a write-up of Z in the same way, which I may not). That’s also not really the point of what I was doing there. It’s an epilogue; it comes at the end. What happens after that is up to the reader now.
Back in your “If I were in Charge” series, you talked about ranking pokemon based on their power… strong pokemon like mewtwo would have the highest rank, while ledian and delibird might have the lowest rank… to balance out the power of pokemon you would take your ledian and delibird to complete mini quests to get them extra powers and earn a rank, like having a second ability and stuff… would you rank gen 6 pokemon this way since you’re reviewing them soon?
Not as such. It would just confuse people who hadn’t read that article, and I don’t think there’s much point to it anyway. I probably will discuss what, if anything, I would do to improve a given Pokémon, though.
Hi, I was wondering if you could do a short series, or just one post, about moves, what should exist, what shouldn’t and your personal favourites. Also you could talk a bit about signature moves and how appropriate they are, for example Shadow Force, Sacred Fire, Seed Flare, Lunar Dance and of course Sketch.
Hmm. You know, I would like to… I think I could probably do a worthwhile single entry on that. Tell you what; I’ll see if I can come up with something to fit somewhere in between the end of my playthrough journal and the start of my reviews of the Kalos Pokémon. No promises, though.
Do you think you’ll review Genesect and the Legend Awakened in the near future and address the controversy of Mewtwo (i.e. it’s a different Mewtwo, meaning there’s now more than one despite common sense, every incarnation of the franchise prior and established continuity spelling out that that should be all but impossible, or at least very unlikely)?
Eh… probably not. I haven’t seen it, and I have so many other things I’m supposed to do in the near future (wrap up my playthrough journal of X, review Origins, write entries on Diantha and probably Iris, discuss the Fairy type, review all the 6th generation Pokémon, not to mention my work in the ‘real’ world…) that I just don’t think I can fit it in. Sorry. 😦
Are you going to do Diantha and Iris Pokemon Champion entries?
Diantha, probably, and if I do her I’ll probably have to do Iris just so she isn’t the only Champion I haven’t written about. Look for that in another week or two, I guess.
Will you be doing what you did for Black and White and determining which Pokemon should exist or not? Because that was a great series and I’d like you to revisit something like that for this generation.
I think I’m supposed to. Like, I think a lot of people expect me to – doing this for Black and White was the reason I started this blog in the first place, after all, back on Blogspot three years ago.
After I finish the playthrough of X and Y, I want to do a few general entries on stuff like mechanical changes and the introduction of the Fairy-type (probably also a character analysis of whoever the Champion is, to go with that other old series – of course, that would make Iris the only Champion I haven’t done, which would be annoying; maybe I should do an entry for her as well), and I need to do a review of Origins as well, which I think will probably take about two entries. After that, I suppose reviewing all of the new sixth-generation Pokémon will be a good chunk of the rest of my year. I’m not sure I want to keep the old “I hereby affirm/deny this Pokémon’s right to exist” catchphrase, because I worry that it tends to detract from the fact that, for almost all Pokémon I review, I have both good and bad things to say about them, but I’ll need to think about that some more.
Have you watched Pokémon Origins, if so will you do a review of it?
I have, and I probably will once I’ve finished going through X. I have mixed feelings about it, but there’ll be time for that later.
Are you going to review each Pokemon individually like in Black and White? That’s what I’ve been looking forward to the most, since I love those articles.
Y’know, I would like to, and I’m sure you’re not the only person who wants me to. It took me a better part of a year the first time, though, and I’m not able to post things as regularly or as often as I was back then. I’ll have to think about it. I’ll definitely do something along those lines, but I may have to come up with a more condensed format.
Do a detailed review of Pokémon Origins, mein square.
I think it’s going up on the Pokémon website in a couple of weeks; I’ll watch it then – of course, I should have X by that point, so there may be competition for my time.
