If you were transported to the pokemon world but as a pokemon, which one would you be (barring legendaries and mythicals) also, keep in mind, this isn’t about which one is your favorite, it is about which one has the best chance for survival based in different criteria.
For survival?
Well, that’s easy. Carbink.
I mean, yeah, you’re rubbish at fighting, truly bottom-tier ludicrously bad. On the other hand, you basically don’t age, you’re composed primarily of diamonds and, consequently, you’re thoroughly inedible, impervious to most environmental hazards and, for all intents and purposes, indestructible. There are Carbink out there that are almost a billion years old – not the species, but individual Carbink. In Kalos, mind you, which means they’ve slept through Yveltal’s tantrums before. Time itself can’t kill these little fµ¢£wits, and it has tried.
Pokémaniacal 
I mean, that is very much assuming your colony doesn’t run into a sableye. I personally wouldn’t pick carbink, because it seems slightly too defenseless as long as something actually wants to eat it.
My first strategy strategy would be a species with long-term parenting and whose adults are intimidating enough to what they share habitat with that they don’t worry much about predator attacks- be this an apex predator or a particularly tough herbivore; my second would be to be a species that lives exclusively in safer, human-made habitats.
Strat one examples:
Kangashkan would be the poster child, with packs of scary moms protecting you until you’re your own scary mom. Being a happiny seems similar, but more chill, and dreepy seems quite riskier but with high payoff. Stantler is mostly a bad idea, but ridiculously rare, and as a consequence, whenever a stantler is born it is to a narrow stretch of land in Sinnoh, Hoenn, or Johto where it is the largest native species and there aren’t even medium sized carnivores.
…If I tried this one, though, I’d probably pick munchlax- it’s rare enough to assume the species is the kind to invest heavily in scarce offspring, it’s a baby pokémon so presumably raised at least until evolution, and being an adult snorlax seems similar to winning the lottery. Like. Daily routine eat all you want then take a nap on a fucking clearing or well trod path, just to fuck with people, cause who’s gonna risk taking you on???
Strat two examples:
…Most ghost types. Special attention to rotom, who not only lives exclusively in places with active human occupation and appliances, but also is beloved by them, and mimikyu, who is less likely to be a spoiled pet but is canonically so predator-deterring that it spends most of its time worried about the top end of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. Shuppet and klefki are unclear but might only exist near humans. Voltorb is. An option. That would probably never get boring, at the very least.. but most of all, who could forget- starters, if you think they’re solely domestic species, and porygon, who is intrinsically one.
Also unown are a thing and I doubt anyone here would call them legendaries but I’m not sure they’re even mortal.
So yeah, gun to my head I’d bet 1-Rotom, 2-Porygon, 3-Munchlax, 4-Unown, 5-Dreepy.

I am so sorry about the text wall I wrote exactly one paragraph about strategies for this and the rest is all examples. Here it is.
